Happy 1st Easter !

Dear Avery,

This past weekend was your first Easter and you had a blast!

We spent Saturday with Daddy's side of the family.  We started off with a nice breakfast at Cracker Barrel where we met up with the whole bunch, Grammy, Grandaddy, Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Lindsey and Adeline.  You were so tickled with Adeline and the two of you would squeal, so loud, at each other.  It was the cutest thing watching the two of you interact.  After breakfast we went to Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Lindsey's house where you had your first Easter Egg hunt!  You weren't too excited about the eggs, but would shake them if we handed them to you.  You also sat in the grass for the first time ever and did not like it one bit; I think that it was too poky for you, but I'm sure that will change soon. :)  Later, you and Adeline opened your baskets.  You got a cute outfit, book, several toys and some candy that you so graciously gave to Mommy and Daddy.  We also discovered that day, that you are cutting your first tooth!  You will have a tiny little tooth on the bottom soon!

Sunday, Easter morning, you woke up to your Easter basket that the Easter Bunny left for you.  You received books, toys and an adorable outfit.  Maybe next year you will get some candy too!  That afternoon, we stopped by the mall to see MiMi, because she had to work and then we were off to Great Nanny Johnson's house.  There we met up with everyone on my side of the family.  Grandpaw, Aunt Tabby, Bailey, Karla, Aunt Sissy, Christian, Nicholas and Ethan were all there along with everyone else.  We had a scrumptious dinner and then watched all of the big kids hunt eggs.  Later, we went to Grandpaw's house were you played with Grandpaw and Bailey until we left.

It was a wonderful weekend with all of our family.  It is so amazing to watch you interact with everyone.  You love to scream when you get excited, and of course, Mommy and Daddy can't help but laugh every time.

See you in the morning sweetheart.  Sweet dreams...

All my love,

Mommy
